Gang Unit

ABOUT THE GANG UNIT

The gang unit is a small group of detectives that respond to and attempt to interdict in gang related crimes.  These detectives have extensive experience, both as patrol officers and investigators.  They are well versed in the gang culture and have the ability to forge relationships and cultivate information that assists them in being on aware of the various issues that lead to gang related crimes. 

They work very closely with a number of other units, including the SWAT, ACT and patrol officers.  Their expertise is invaluable in identifying individuals with know gang affiliations and bringing those individual to justice when they are involved in criminal activity.
