Department Recognition EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION AWARDS Every year the Department recognizes its employees at the Annual Seattle Police Awards Banquet, sponsored by the Seattle Police Foundation. Sworn and Civilian employees are nominated by their co-workers and chosen by a committee of their peers. The awards are in a wide variety of categories, that cover ongoing, daily excellence to heroic, lifesaving awards of valor. See List of 2007 SPD Award Winners CITIZEN APPRECIATION AWARDS Annually, Department employees also nominate local business and citizens whom they have worked with. Citizens are awarded for their partnership efforts, ongoing support of the Department or heroic actions during an event. Citizens are honored by the Department in a fun ceremony event. |
