Southwest Burglary/ LATEST NEWS: Investigating pattern burglary case that involves 11 cases so far. Case initiated with excellent investigation by patrol of a daytime burglary that occurred near Madison Middle School. Patrol served a search warrant at the home of one of the suspects, and collected a substantial amount of stolen goods including laptops, guns, narcotics, and electronics. Cases are still being identified in SW, South, North, and East precinct areas. Detective Bauer. Burglary investigation where suspects entered West Seattle High School, and took and administrator’s laptop and purse. Suspects were apprehended after a foot chase by patrol. Detectives followed up and found another recent nearby burglary related to these suspects. One suspect is well known and has other pending related charges for burglary, attempt to elude, and obstruction. King County Prosecutors using Repeat Burglar Initiative to address pattern of behavior by one of the suspects. Detective Ballew. Burglary with sexual motivation case investigation. Evidence at scene, and leads developed led to a suspect. Detectives tracked suspect to an apartment in Morgan Junction area, but suspect likely jumped from a 4th floor balcony to escape. Detectives got a search warrant and entered apartment to find that suspect was gone. Suspect is still being sought. Detective Ballew. Road rage incident. Investigate road rage incident in which a motorcyclist followed a motorist to a stoplight. Suspect threatened driver, and punched the victim vehicle, causing substantial damage. Charges filed. Pattern burglary investigation, also in South Park area. 3 victims identified, with juvenile suspects involved. Charges of trafficking stolen property filed. Detective Garcia.
