About the Captain

Captain Brown has been the West Precinct Commander since August of 2006. Prior to his West Precinct assignment he served as the Narcotics Commander and Project Coordinator during the design and initial construction for the new Emergency Operations Center. He served as a lieutenant for fifteen years and worked in Violent Crimes, Harbor Patrol, Traffic and West Precinct Watch Commander.

As an officer he worked in Patrol and the Canine Unit. He joined the SPD in 1980 after graduating from Seattle University with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and Police Science.

Captain Brown has commanded the West Precinct since 2006.
