Future Woman Leaders in Law Enforcement
Join us April 10-15, 2017 at South Seattle College for a week long program designed to explore careers in law enforcement for women. Learn first-hand about fundamental police functions in patrol, K9, crime scene investigations, traffic enforcement and community policing. Meet female leaders in law enforcement from the Seattle Police Department and learn about all of the opportunities in public safety. Discover your strength, leadership and explore your career potential in public service.

This program is offered free of charge and is open to young women between the ages of 16 and 20 year of age. Priority will be given to young women entering the 12th grade during school year 2016-2017.
Class size is limited to 40 students. All applicants will be notified of their status in mid March. Students are expected to provide their own transportation and lunch will be provided. The Seattle Police Department seeks young women from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds when selecting participants for this program. Candidates of different ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, orientations and communities throughout Seattle are encouraged to apply in order to enrich the class discussions and strengthen community relationships. We are proudly partnering with South Seattle College for this program and will also provide workforce readiness assistance during the program for future development.
