South Lake Union Urban Center Rezone In 2004, the City's 10-year Comprehensive Plan update designated South Lake Union an "Urban Center" - an area with the potential for high job and housing growth. The existing South Lake Union neighborhood plan was revised to address specific topics as required under King County's County-wide Planning Policies, and now a rezoning process has begun to allow for more density in the area. The Planning Commission is working with the City to ensure that the goals of the Comp Plan are carried out during the rezone process. Publications and information available: |
