Commute Trip Reduction Program
Employee Commute Trip Reduction Program The City of Seattle Employee Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Program encourages employees to use alternatives to driving alone to work. Employees who ride the bus, train, ferry, or participate in a vanpool are eligible for transit subsidy up to the equivalent of a one-zone peak monthly Metro bus pass. Other elements of the City of Seattle CTR program include carpool, bicycling and walking to work, and using tele-work arrangements. Permanent and temporary employees who work a minimum of 80 hours per month are also eligible to participate in the City Employee Commute Trip Reduction Program. Only full-time permanent employees may purchase annual transit passes. Guaranteed Ride Home program An important component of the CTR program is the Guaranteed Ride Home program. Guaranteed Ride Home provides reimbursement for up to 40 miles of taxi service per year for personal, family or medical emergencies to qualified employees. Employees who must work unexpected emergency overtime can also use the service with approval from their supervisor. SeaPark If eligible, you may park at the Seattle Municipal Tower or SeaPark for a reduced fee twice a month. |
