COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
|
Seattle Parks and Recreation worked with the school district,
interested community groups, teens, and private organizations through
a series of public meetings, seeking and incorporating input on the project's
direction.
History In September 1999, Seattle City Council approved amendments to the neighborhood plan for North Neighborhoods, which included a recommendation that the old Meadowbrook Community Center, often referred to as 'the Annex', be renovated to serve as a teen center for the north district. The 2000 Pro Parks Levy provided project funding for the planning, design and construction of the teen center. ( RETURN
