PROJECT DESCRIPTION
"Continue improvements and connections of Chief Sealth Trail."
The Chief Sealth Trail will be the first off-street, multi-use trail in southeast Seattle. When completed, the trail will stretch from Beacon Avenue South on the north to Seattle's southern city limits. The project will provide access to Sound Transit LINK Light Rail stations at South Othello and South Henderson Streets.
The trail will provide a fully-separated surface and appeal to a broad range of users (cyclists, pedestrians and wheelchair users) as an alternative to the city street system.
For more information about the project, please contact Project Manager Connie Zimmerman at Seattle Department of Transportation, 684.5184 or via email: connie.zimmerman@seattle.gov.
In February 2005, SDOT published the first edition of a periodic project newsletter about the Chief Sealth Trail. Please advise Connie Zimmerman if you would like to be added to the mailing list.
