PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Improve the track and field events with up to date surfaces and enclosures at the existing site. This will enable Parks to continue sponsoring organized track and field meets during the spring and summer months.

1. Track Upgrade – Renovate and resurface the track to remove surface irregularities (high spots, low spots, and soft spots) and provide a competitive new synthetic 400 meter track surface with 100 meter sprint run outs.

2. Field Events (track-related) – Install new synthetic surfacing of the existing turf field end areas (D-zones). Rebuild or install new field events on this synthetic all-weather surface. These include: long jump/triple jump, high jump, pole vault, shot out, discus, javelin and new steeplechase water pit obstacle. Associated equipment shall also be provided including new goal posts for the football field.

COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
Parks held one community on June 21, 2005 to present concept designs. No more public meetings are planned for this project.
