Project Status

Spring/Summer 2013
Thank you to all who attended the planning meetings for the playground renovation. The next step is to put together the construction documents so we can put the project out to public bid. The existing play area will remain open during the summer 2013, but will close in the autumn for construction.

BUDGET
The Parks and Green Spaces Levy allocates $350,000 for planning, design and construction.
SCHEDULE
Planning: February - June 2012
Design: July 2012 - February 2013
Construction: September - November 2013
Completion: Early 2014

Project Description

This project will provide for replacement of play equipment, access improvements and other work at this existing play area.

The scope of this project brings the play area into compliance with current play area safety standards and guideline efforts of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) as well as meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
