Thank you Seattle this acquisition is complete.
On December 10, 2012, Seattle's City Council unanimously approved Seattle Park's recommendation to purchase the property at 4731 40th SW to the west of the new proposed development at 4755 Fauntleroy Way.

Parks has been working with the developer of the 4755 Fauntleroy development to provide funding for initial public process and design for this park.

Seattle Parks worked with the community and took public comments on this purchase at the Design Review Board meeting Thursday November 8, 2012.

Project Description

The Parks and Green Spaces Levy provides $24 million for the acquisition of neighborhood parks in up to 20 identified areas throughout the City. The West Seattle Junction Residential Urban Village was included in that list.
