Project Status

March 2012
The construction contract for this project has bid and an award is in progress. All required permits have been obtained. Parks anticipates issuing the Notice To Proceed on May 2, 2012.

Thank you to all who attended the public meeting on July 27, 2011. To view the overview of the project and meeting notes please see below.

The renovation will replace the existing all weather sand/silt field with synthetic turf to provide adult soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, softball, pony league baseball, and football. It will also improve ADA accessibility and replace the existing field lights with more energy efficient, neighborhood friendly lighting.

Parks is working with a lighting consultant and as with all lighting replacement projects it is Parks’ goal to eliminate as much objectionable glare and light spill into the neighborhood sky as possible, while providing safe and efficient lights.
