Location: 24th Avenue street end in Ballard


Project Status

The Opportunity Fund project funding has been reallocated. The Seattle Public Utilities project makes the community-initiated improvements for the street end impractical at this time.

BUDGET
The Opportunity Fund allocates $750,000 for the planning, design and construction of this project.

Project Description

This project was selected for the second round of Parks and Green Spaces Levy Opportunity Funding. The application receivedYou will need adobe acrobat reader to view this document. in this community-initiated process is a preliminary concept and the final design may be constrained by the project budget. All projects will go through Park’s public involvement procedure which includes public meetings and community input. They will also go through an internal Parks process to ensure the most effective implementation.

Improve the 24th Ave NW street end with a pedestrian greenway, restored waterfront beach, and upgraded dock. Storm water gardens, cisterns, and bio-retention swales are all proposed elements of the project.
