On January 21, 2010 Parks purchased a .25-acre parcel at the southwest corner of 8th Avenue NE and NE 105th Street. This property is adjacent to another parcel purchased using Pro Parks Levy funds in 2003, and connects to the other parcels in Thornton Creek Park.

A structure on the site was recently removed. The property is also home to a giant sequoia tree, which was recently surrounded by fencing to deter beaver activity. Over time the site will revert to a natural state as salmon habitat.
