The Parks and Green Spaces Levy $6 million Green Spaces category funds acquisitions to preserve Seattle’s green spaces. The Levy included the Northeast Queen Anne Greenbelt to be considered for acquisition from a portion of that funding.

Currently, Parks is exploring options for purchasing property in this area.  

Project Description

The Northeast Queen Anne Greenbelt is the forested hillside along the eastern slope of Queen Anne Hill, just above Aurora Avenue North.

In the 1990s, Seattle Parks and Recreation acquired ten acres in the greenbelt, including several sites with panoramic views of Lake Union and the Cascades.
