Project Status

Thank you Seattle. This acquisition is complete.
In late 2012 Parks finalized the purchase of a .15-acre (6,650 sq.ft.) property, located at the northwest corner of 35th Avenue S & S Charlestown Street. This was followed by the purchase of an adjacent site at 3655 35th Ave S.

This 2008 Parks & Green Spaces Levy acquisition is the first of two acquisitions designed to provide this community with a neighborhood park.

The seller was Southeast Effective Development, or SEED, a not-for-profit community development corporation which has built multi-family housing projects in the neighborhood several more are in planning. Negotiations are underway to purchase additional property from SEED to increase the size of the park.
