THE PLAY AREA IS NOW OPEN!!!

Construction of the play area lasted through the winter. The play area officially opened up on March 13 and shortly afterwards it was being explored by the neighborhood kids. One report from a seven year old stated, This is the best play area ever! Another report from a mother stated this about the opening day, Just so you know - 4 hours.... our sons spent 4 hours at the playground and were both asleep by 7:20 p.m. without fuss .... Thank you!

In addition to the Play Area Renovation Project, the community group Montlake Family Fitness is applying for grants to fund construction of a sports court and adult exercise equipment. They have been successfully approved for a Neighborhood Matching Fund award and a King County Sports Facility Grant. More information can be found at MontlakeFamilyFitness.com.
