Project Status

Matthews Beach Renovation construction has been delayed until after summer season. Construction is anticipated to begin September 2014. During construction, the contractor will work with Parks staff to make sure access is provided as necessary for special aquatic events. Johnston Architects is currently designing the details for the restrooms / locker room renovations.

The beach area and restrooms will be open according to their normal schedules.

Design: October - November 2012
Construction: September 2014 – February 2015
Completion: February 2015

Project Description

This project provides a roof replacement and multiple upgrades at the Matthews Beach Park bathhouse. The restrooms will be reconfigured to meet all current ADA codes. The changing rooms will get floor drains installed and improvements to seating.
