Marra-Desimone Park
Parks and Green Spaces Levy
Project Information

Location: 9026 4th Avenue South

Project Status

Summer 2015
The Marra-Desimone Park improvement project is moving forward and we need your input! Seattle Parks and Recreation is completing the design for the improvements of this 8.7 acre community park. Our goal is to gather input from you and our community partners that will inspire the parks design. We anticipate the next phase of your park will be built by the fall 2016.

Seattle Parks and Recreation invites you and your family to participate in the Marra-Desimone park kick-off public meeting. At this initial meeting Seattle Parks and Recreation and Barker Landscape Architects will provide background on the project, and gather community input on park elements and design features. The park improvements will focus on park access for all, safety in design with good site-lines, space for community well-being with recreation and gathering spaces, and an enhanced farm and garden.

As part of our commitment to outreach, the planning for this project will involve meetings with the Latino community, Vietnamese community, and other diverse communities of the South Park area.
