Project Information

Location: 2101 N Northlake Way

Project Status

July 2014
The 2008 Parks and Green Spaces levy included money to make improvements to the existing play area at Gas Works Park. The remnants of the play area are located on the south side of the play barn (the large covered structure with the multi-colored equipment).

Please join us at the second meeting in September. Families are encouraged to attend and provide feedback on the schematic design. Our first public meeting was held on March 11, 2014. Attendees took the opportunity to share ideas, give suggestions, and learn about the upcoming project.

2101 N Northlake Way
The Parks and Green Spaces Levy allocates $1.4 million dollars for planning, design and construction.
Planning: December 2013 - March 2014
Design: March 2014 - February 2015
Construction: September 2015 - January 2016
Completion: March 2016

Project Description

This project will provide for replacement of play equipment, access improvements and other work at this existing play area.

The scope of this project brings the play area into compliance with current play area safety standards and guideline efforts of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) as well as meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
