Project Status

March 2014
Our first public meeting was held on February 27, 2014. Attendees took the opportunity to share ideas, give suggestions, and learn about the upcoming project.

We extend a sincere thank you to all the community members and community groups who participated. We've received your input and look forward to the next steps.

Next, the design team will present its draft schematic design to the community at the May 14 public meeting. We look forward to your continued participation.

The park plans will be coordinated with Seattle Public School's redevelopment plan to include a joint-use playground/park feature with Cedar Park Elementary.

BUDGET
The Parks and Green Spaces Levy provides $500,000 for planning, design and construction.
SCHEDULE
Planning: Winter 2014 - Spring 2014
Design: Spring 2014 - Fall 2014
Construction: Winter 2015 - Summer 2015
Completion: Fall 2015

Project Description

Cedar Park Renovation project provides for the retrofit of the existing play features, improvement to site circulation and access, and upgrades to meet current safety and American with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

The park will function as a playground for Cedar Park Elementary school and will be a desirable space for the neighborhood youth and families to recreate year-round.
