Parks staff has been working with the Seattle School District (SSD) on the possibility of acquiring their excess property adjacent to the Bitter Lake Playfield. Parks and SSD are in the process of jointly appraising the property.

Project Description

The Parks and Green Spaces Levy provides $24 million for the acquisition of neighborhood parks in up to 20 identified areas throughout the City. The Bitter Lake Hub Urban Village was included in that list.

Community Participation

Parks staff attended a community meeting in November and a follow-up site visit in January aimed at identifying potential Parks sites in the Bitter Lake Hub Urban Village.
