Playfield Improvement
Project Information

Project Status

Thank you to the West Seattle Little League,
Seattle Mariners and the Boeing Corporation for
making these improvements possible.

In 2008 the West Seattle Little League received a Mariners/Boeing grant. The project is being funded with grant money and a considerable amount of donated services including design and construction.

The project will be substantially complete and in service for the 2010 baseball season. Some work may be completed during the season as required.

Not part of this project but occurring at the same time is a tree planting effort. This project is part of the 2 for 1 Tree Replacement Program. (See Tree Planting Plan at right.)

Project Description

Replace the existing concession shack and port-a-potties with a new permanent building with new concession serving area and restrooms.

Replace the existing storage sheds & containers with a new permanent storage building.

Community Participation

Seattle Parks and Recreation and the West Seattle Little League are hosting a meeting to discuss improvements to the Bar-S Playfield located at 6464 SW Admiral Way.

Please come and learn about the planned addition of restrooms, the upgrades to the snack shack and the replacement of the temporary storage sheds.
