July 2009
Seattle Parks and Recreation Trails Program will provide guidance
in constructing the improved public trail. The students involved
from both Chief Sealth High School and Pathfinder Elementary School
will plant and maintain the new native species plants.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The current project, funded by a Neighborhood Matching Fund award,
is to remove all invasive species, plant native species, improve
existing trail and provide learning centers complete with Podcast
for the new Pathfinder Elementary School at this portion of the
West Duwamish Greenbelt.
COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
Project Earth Care, which was created by Chief Sealth High School
Students, worked with Cooper Elementary Students to remove invasive
species, plant native species, and made stepping stones. The newly
restored space will provide a portion of the environmental curriculum
for Pathfinder School.
