ABOUT THE PARK

Westcrest Park is a very large park. It has a view platform with a great panoramic view of the city skyline, flat open meadow, with a short walking path, and a dog off-leash area.

HISTORY

Until 1972, this property belonged to the water department. Consisting primarily of woods, Westcrest Park is wrapped around the West Seattle Reservoir.

BY CAR

From I-5 Southbound:

• Take the CORSON AVE exit- exit number 162- toward MICHIGAN ST.
• Stay straight to go onto CORSON AVE S.
• Turn RIGHT onto S MICHIGAN ST.
• Merge onto WA-509 S.
• Take the exit toward MYERS WAY/ WHITE CENTER
• Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto 1ST AVE S.
• Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto OLSON PL SW.
• Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto SW ROXBURY ST.
• Turn RIGHT onto 8TH AVE SW.
• Turn RIGHT onto SW CLOVERDALE ST and CONTINUE a couple blocks.
• Parking lot will be on the RIGHT, just below the reservoir.

From I-5 Northbound:

• Take Exit 156 toward TUKWILA/ W. MARGINAL WAY
• Merge onto WA-599 N
• WA-599 N becomes WA-99 N.
• Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto W MARGINAL WAY S.
• W MARGINAL WAY S becomes HIGHLAND PARK WAY SW.
• HIGHLAND PARK WAY SW becomes 9TH AVE SW.
• Turn LEFT onto SW CLOVERDATE ST and CONTINUE a couple blocks.
• Parking lot will be on the RIGHT, just below the reservoir.
