HOURS4 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. ABOUT THE PARKThis very cool neighborhood park features a mini-farm and garden, a very nice trickling stream, and there is a pathway that leads to a small grassy hill at the rear of the park that is perfect for listening to the sounds of trickling water and singing birds on a sunny day. Acreage: 8.7HISTORYThe west half of the Marra-Desimone Park site was historically operated as Marra Farm, a traditional truck farm that supplied fresh produce to Seattle farmers' markets in the mid-20th century. In 1920, Italian immigrants Carmine and Maria Marra purchased the farm from Joe Desimone, of Pike Place Market fame. Read more about the history of Marra Farm in this text written by Fred Marra, nephew of Margaret and Carl Marra. To learn more about Seattle Parks and Recreation,
