ABOUT THE PARK

Van Asselt Playground is located on Beacon Hill. It is an active park with ammenities in easy walking distance.

HISTORY

Named after Henry Van Asselt who arrived from Holland in 1851. He was a pioneer, excellent marksman and cabinet maker. The first school in King County was the Van Asselt School in 1862.
