HISTORY

The name for this park was, perhaps not surprisingly, assumed from the surrounding neighborhood. It was deeded to the city in 1972, a gift by Crawford & Conover, Inc., for park and recreational purposes.

(Edited from the files of Don Sherwood, 1916-1981, Park Historian.)
