Tashkent Park Improvements
This improvement project installs a concrete plaza with movable tables and chairs adjacent to the sculpture from Tashkent sister city.  In addition it will provide accessible routes to new plaza and existing plaza, improve landscape areas adjacent to plaza and renovate existing aging irrigation system. Seattle Parks and Recreation applied for and received funding through the Community Development Block Grant to fund this project. Download the Site Development Plan.

The plan went through Seattle Parks and Recreation technical review at the end of October and received approval.  The Seattle Conservation Corps is now moving forward with construction.  We anticipate construction to be completed by February 2016.

Seattle Parks and Recreation hosted a public meeting for the Tashkent Park improvements on Thursday, May 28, 2015. The Sr. Landscape Architect from Seattle Parks presented the proposed plan, answered questions and gathered community feedback. Download the meeting notes for more information.
