HOURS4 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. ABOUT THE PARKPeppi's is definitely a playground, full of unique playthings. And despite the playground emphasis, there is room on the landscaped grass for a picnic or to gather your wits after a rough day. HISTORYCommunity efforts for a playground began in 1953 with a petition for “children’s facilities” in Frink Park, which they recommended against Frink Park as not having enough space, and urging the possible expansion of the Leschi School site. The Leschi School and community (school children) recommended to the Board of Commissioners honoring the memory of 8-year-old boy Peppi Braxton, a first grader who killed in a bicycle-automobile accident in 1971.
