Major Maintenance Project Information

Seattle Parks and Recreation and Skanska USA invite you to the ribbon cutting celebration on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 2012.
The project is nearing completion and construction fencing will be removed prior to the ribbon cutting.
Seattle Parks and Recreation cumulative reserve funds provided $40,000 in funding for design, permitting and administration of the project while Skanska USA volunteers and subcontractor partners donated labor and materials valued at more than $140,000 to construct the replacement facility. The Seattle Conservation Corps provided excavation and concrete work for the project.
The picnic shelter is built of durable materials to reduce maintenance and lessen opportunities for vandalism.
Budget:
$40,000
Cumulative Reserve Funds provides $40,000 funding for design, permitting and administration of the project. Parks is partnering with Skanska Construction, who is donating labor and materials to construct the replacement facility.

May 2012
This project demolishes the existing picnic shelter and replaces it with a new one built from durable materials that will reduce maintenance and opportunity for vandalism.
