Current Status

June 2008

No programs will be offered inside the building during construction. A limited number of programs will be offered at off-site locations.
Classes and programs offered off site include:

  • All Tennis programs will take place at the tennis courts
  • Summer day camp will be held at Magnolia Church of Christ (3555 W. McGraw)
  • Ballet classes will be held at Discovery Park Environmental Learning Center
  • A limited number of exercise classes will be held at Queen Anne Community Center
  • Kendo will be held at Northgate Community Center
  • Fencing will be held at Discovery Park Environmental Learning Center
  • Summer Music in the Park will be held at teh Magnolia Community Center Park every other Wed. starting in July at 6 p.m.
  • Magnolia Farmers Market will be held in the parking lot on Sat. at 10 a.m.

2008-09 Tun O’ Fun childcare programs will begin Sept. 3 and take place in the Catherine Blaine gymnasium. For more information please call one of the contacts below:

Project Description

Budget: $939,000

Construction begins: Summer 2008
Project complete: Fall 2008

This project provides needed repairs and renovations to Magnolia Community Center which include reparing the leaking roof and replacing the clerestory. These improvements extend the useful life of the community center and protect it from future water damage.
