Planning and design for the Rainier courts is complete and Zinc Construction will begin installation of lighting on November 9, 2009. Seattle Parks held a public meeting in September 2009. Information from the meeting is below.
The Van Asselt court project timeline is still to be determined.

The Basketball Court Lighting project intends to provide planning, design and construction for new court lighting at two park locations: Rainier Playfield (2 courts) and Van Asselt Community Center (2 courts).
