Seattle Parks and Recreation completed the renovations at both the north and south Leschi marina moorages. Specifically the project provided a new fixed breakwater of the north marina, new floating walkway, and new boat moorage wet slips were installed; and the southern breakwater of the south marina was replaced with new pilings and steel tube structures for wave attenuation.
Additionally, the work included shoreline mitigation work at the south marina basin, north of the gangway, which included new irrigation, slope planting and emergent planting at the waterline.
Construction has completed as of April 30 2011 following the additional wet slip moorage installation on the North Marina.
The project complies with Fisheries mandated, permitted "work window", established when juvenile salmon are not migrating through the area.
