LGBTQ Seniors

Find out about Lifelong Recreation programs for those 50+ by visiting www.seattle.gov/parks/find/lifelong-recreation-(50) or calling (206) 684-4951.

The Lifelong Recreation 50+ unit has partnered with Generations Aging with Pride to develop "Rainbow Recreation" programs and activities specifically for LGBTQ adults 50+ and their friends. Quarterly activities include movies, exercise classes, art classes, and field trips.

All-Gender Swims

Medgar Evers Pool will be hosting another All-Gender Public Swim on Saturday, April 21, 2018.  The cost is $2, with a reduced fee available by request.  In-water time starts promptly at 3 and ends at 5pm.  Evers Pool is at 500 23rd Ave, Seattle, WA 98122. The event is family friendly and for all ages. Another swim is planned for June 16.

Group locker rooms typically specified as men's or women's will be gender neutral, and two smaller private family-style changing rooms will still be available for those who want more privacy.  The facility includes two separate pools: one, a 3-foot to 4-foot deep teaching pool, and the other a 4-foot to 12-foot deep lap-length pool. Both are accessible by portable access stairs and ADA lifts. A sauna is also available.  Email Courtney Witcher with questions or call (206) 684-4766.  

LGBTQ & Allies 18+ Free Drop-In Volleyball

On Friday nights from 6 - 7:45 pm, Miller Community Center hosts free drop-in volleyball for the LGBTQ community, age 18 and over. Questions? Call the center at 206-684-4753.

Teen Programs

Seattle Parks and Recreation is dedicated to providing safe and welcoming spaces for all teens including LGBTQ teens.  For general information on teen programming, visit the Seattle Parks Teens web site or the Seattle Parks Teen Jobs webpage.
