Lifelong Recreation, Food and Fitness Program
The Food and Fitness Program provides an opportunity for elders to congregate and celebrate their culture and language. Each gathering provides a communal lunch, social, educational and fitness program.
This program is a partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation and Aging and Disabilities Services to provide communal meals to diverse elder communities while including creative ways to encourage people to be more physically active.
Locations
- Garfield: Tuesday & Friday 10am-1pm, Vietnamese
- Yesler: Thursday 11:30am-1pm, Ethiopian/Eritrean
- Miller: Tuesday & Friday 10am-1pm, Korean
- Rainier: Wednesday 11:45am-1:30pm, Somali
Summer Food Service Program
The Summer Food Service Program provides free lunches for children up to age 18 at 27 Parks locations. This is a part of at citywide program that provides meals to children in need. This program runs from late June to Late August, serving both breakfast and lunch.
