The 194-acre Arboretum displays labeled plantings of more than 4,000 species of trees, shrubs, vines, and flowers. Established in 1903 as part of Seattle's Olmstead-designed system of parks and boulevard, it is owned and maintained by the City, and the University of Washington maintains the collection.
