Looking for a time when there are hardly any people in the pool? Try coming to Public Swim on Monday nights from 7:30 - 8:30 or Friday afternoon from 4:00 - 5:00 (no high school swim meets until December).
Women Only Swims continue every Saturday from 7 - 8PM for only $2.00. There is room for lap swimming and recreational fitness or fun. Open to all females 12 years and up.
Construction project to prevent local flooding and create habitat for threatened salmon continues on 35th Ave NE between 110th and 105th until late November.
Traffic will be detoured from 35th Avenue Northeast to Lake City Way Northeast via Northeast 110th Street and Northeast 95th Street. Detour signs are in place and the pool and community center are still open. The best way to get here is to go North on 35th Ave NE. The parking lot is still open and there is lots of parking available on the street.
Southbound Metro buses (Route 64 and 65) will be detoured to Lake City Way Northeast via Northeast 110th Street and Northeast 95th Street. Northbound Metro buses will be diverted to Sandpoint Way Northeast via Northeast 95th Street and Northeast 110th Street. As the closure date approaches, more information will be found at http://metro.kingcounty.gov/alerts/.
