Mount Baker Park Play Area Renovation

Updated: August 25, 2016

Thank you! This project is complete!

The Mt. Baker Play Area Renovation opened on May 27, 2016 in time for the Memorial Day weekend with the ribbon cutting and opening celebration taking place June 2, 2016.

At the request of the community, and to increase the longevity of the pathways, the asphalt surfacing was upgraded to concrete. We also were able to partner with SDOT to improve the sidewalk along McClellan Street making it a much safer route to the park for the many preschools nearby as well as the community. Thank you to SDOT for your partnership with these sidewalk improvements.

This project provided for replacement of play equipment, access improvements and other work at the existing play area.
