Colman Park West Slope Restoration

Updated: March 15, 2018

Spring 2018

Watch this space for next steps.

This project is the result of cooperation among the Friends of Colman Park Vista, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. We invite input from all community neighbors. Your work in support of this project and in getting the word out to friends and neighbors will assist Friends of Colman Park Vista in restoring a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Friends of Colman Park Vista, a group of community members, envisions replacing shoots and suckers growing from previously topped trees with low-growing native trees and shrubs. This will invite entry into the park from the existing access points and provide an inspiring vista to pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and passengers along the streetscape.
