Parks StandardsSeattle Parks & Recreation (SPR) Standards provide design and construction guidelines for Seattle Parks' facilities. These standardized requirements have proved successful during the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of Seattle Parks' facilities. These Standards are intended as a library of options for individual park design conditions. In certain situations additions, deletions or deviations may be acceptable if approved by the Parks Engineer and/or Construction Manager during the design review process. The Consultant shall verify that contract documents reflect use of the most current Standards. Documents are updated regularly. It is important to refer to this site at the start of each project. Do not carry over this information from one project to the next. The following documents are PDF

For More InformationJoe Neiford FAQ'sWhat makes up a PDF Portfolio? A PDF Portfolio contains multiple files assembled into an integrated PDF unit. In some cases we have created a Portfolio with one document enclosed to allow for future expansion. Several Portfolios contain folders which when selected (double click or right click>Open Folder) reveal contained documents. When within a folder a “Back” button will appear above the file names for easy return to the level above. What version of Acrobat Reader do I need for viewing PDF Portfolios? Version 9 or newer should show the file list correctly (a list of contained documents and folders above a preview pane of the currently selected document). Acrobat Reader 8 displays the list but may not display folders in the list, instead listing the all files from the folders at the same level. Older versions may open the first document on the list and show the rest as attachments. Follow this link to download the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader How can I see the enclosed documents listed on the side rather than at the top of the preview window? The default view can be changed by selecting Window>Split Vertical from the Reader menu bar. If your browser opens the Portfolio instead of Reader you may not have viewing options. DISCLAIMERThese Standards are not intended to supersede City/State/Federal laws or codes or generally accepted design practices of professional consultants. It is meant to be used on Seattle Parks' projects only. Seattle Parks shall not be held responsible if these standards are used for other purposes. If the Consultant identifies any conflict between these Standards and City of Seattle or other governing codes, he/she shall notify the Project Manager and seek a resolution, which complies with City codes and thereafter is acceptable to the Seattle Parks. |
