Shoreline Management Study

The overall goal of this project was to inventory Seattle Parks and Recreation’s shoreline properties and identify opportunities for salmon habitat restoration and conservation. The assessment led to a ranking of restoration opportunities. The parks included in the study were those on Lake Washington, the Lake Union/Ship Canal to the Locks, and on Puget Sound/Elliott Bay. The City of Seattle and King County have completed several studies documenting salmon use of Seattle’s shorelines. This report applies previous scientific findings to Parks’ extensive shoreline properties.
