After the initial project was completed in 2007 the Amy Yee Tennis Center Advisory Council raised $364,461 for the two new courts that were completed in December 2009. The court surface was installed in early summer 2010 when the weather was appropriate for installation. Also, during this time the other four courts received warranty repair. In September 2005, the Seattle City Council unanimously approved projects to be funded through the second cycle of the Pro Parks Levy Opportunity Fund, including $200,000 for improvements to Amy Yee Tennis Center.
