Pro Parks Levy Opportunity Fund Selection Process Timeline
Monday, October 4, 2004:
Deadline for Letter of Intent applications. All potential projects need
to submit a two-page Letter of Intent application to be eligible to apply
to the Opportunity Fund.
October 25, 2004:
Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee meeting and discussion: Parks staff
summarizes Letter of Intent applications received.
By November 30, 2004:
Parks staff provides information on full application process and deadline
to those who submitted Letter of Intent applications.
Tuesday, February 1, 2005:
Full Opportunity Fund applications due. Projects must have submitted
a Letter of Intent application to be eligible to apply to the Opportunity
Fund.
February 28, 2005:
Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee meeting. Open House and citizen presentations
to Committee within a set time limit for projects that submitted applications
in North Seattle and East Central Seattle.
March 7, 2005:
Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee meeting. Open House and citizen presentations
to Committee within a set time limit for projects that submitted applications
in South Seattle and West Central Seattle.
March 28, 2005:
Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee meeting. Staff recommendations for
priority Opportunity Fund projects presented to the Committee, followed
by initial Committee discussion.
April 25, 2005:
Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee meeting. Committee holds public hearing
on staff recommendations for priority Opportunity Fund projects.
May 23, 2005:
Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee meeting. Oversight Committee discussion
and vote on projects to receive second round Opportunity Fund funding.
Summer, 2005:
Committee recommendations for Second Round Opportunity Fund projects
are forwarded to Superintendent, Mayor and City Council for approval.
City Council legislation is enacted.
Late Summer, 2005:
Second Round Opportunity Fund project awards announced.
