- Beacon Hill Chamber of Commerce
George Robertson. George, a self-employed architect, lives and works
on Beacon Hill and is a member of the Beacon Hill Chamber of Commerce.
George has been involved with the design and construction of many
prominent Seattle-area buildings. In recent years George has specialized
in the design of convention, conference, and meeting facilities. George
has served on a number of civic committees including the Seattle Bicycle
Advisory Board, the Seattle Downtown Plan Committee, and the Denny
Regrade Community Council. He was on the Jefferson Site Planning PAT.
- Friends of Seattle's Olmsted Parks
Kellye Hilde. Kellye is a member of Friends of Seattle's Olmsted Parks.
She was on the Cheasty Blvd. consultant selection committee. Kelllye
has a degree in landscape architecture with an emphasis in historic
preservation and planning. She currently works for a residential design
firm.
- Parent of Before & After Program Participant
Antelmo Reyes Mondragon. Antelmo has a son who attend the Jefferson
Community Center Before & After program. His partner works at
El Centro De la Raza
- Jefferson Community Center Advisory Council
Liz Walsh-Boyd. Liz lives on Beacon Hill with her husband and young
daughter. She is the secretary of the Jefferson Community Center Advisory
Council, a member of Beacon Hill Friends of the Library committee,
and involved with the Richard Hugo House which promotes creative writing.
- Jefferson Community Center, Coordinator
Randy Smith. Randy is coordinator of the Jefferson Park Community
Center. He works closely with all of the groups that use Jefferson
Community Center and Jefferson Park. He is involved with scheduling,
staffing, facility maintenance, coordinating volunteers, and resolving
conflicts between different groups. Randy has been with the Parks
Department for 28 years. In recent years, Randy has been involved
with the design and construction of the Beacon Ave. Median, several
community centers, a children's play area, a tennis court, and many
general park improvement projects. Randy was on the Jefferson site
planning PAT.
- Jefferson Park Alliance
Dave Budd. Dave is a member of the Jefferson Park Alliance. He lives
on Beacon Hill, very close to Jefferson Park and was actively involved
with neighborhood planning. He and his wife have a pre-school age
child. Dave is an administrator for a health care non-profit organization.
- Seattle School District
Otis Campbell. Otis is the physical education teacher at Beacon
Hill Elementary, which is located a short distance from Jefferson
Park. He coordinates the Beacon Hill Elementary Unicycle Team.
- North Beacon Hill Council
Kevin Lee, O.D. Kevin was on the site planning PAT and is on the Cheasty
PAT. Kevin grew up on Beacon Hill and continues to live there. He
attended the local neighborhood schools and got a degree in microbiology
from UW, worked for Harborview for many years, and then returned to
school and now works as an optometrist. He speaks, reads & writes
Mandarin, Cantonese & Toisanese. He served on the Seattle Chinese
Chinatown Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, is a past member
of the National Association of Chinese Americans, and is a past member
of the Seattle Chinese Athletic Association where his younger brother
is a coach.
- Seattle Chinese Athletic Association (SCAA)
Greg Kogita. Greg is treasurer of the SCAA and a member of the Jefferson
Community Center Advisory Council. He lives near Jefferson Park. He
and his daughters volunteer to assist with Community Center sponsored
events.
- Union Gospel Mission (UGM)
Bill Ruebel. Bill is athletic director for Union Gospel Mission's
Youth Services, which draws from a group of at risk youth for its
programs. He coordinates youth basketball & track, and is a volunteer
basketball coach. Bill also helps coordinate Jefferson Community Center's
track program.
- Pickleball
Jean Cowhorn. Jean participates in Senior Adult Pickleball at Rainier
CC and VanAssalt CC. She is a retired sales rep for Olga Company where
she sold women's lingerie to stores in the northwest. Jean grew up
in Seattle, but spent time in Okinawa and Virginia before moving back
to Seattle. She has three children, the youngest just graduated from
college.
