Burke-Gilman Trail Vegetation Management PlanManagement Unit 8Management Unit 8: NE 77th St. to Inverness Dr. NE M8E1
This is the widest section of the Burke-Gilman Trail and has the greatest
potential for native habitat. Existing bigleaf maples are multi-stem
stump sprouts. Diversification with nativeconifers and snag conversion
could increase habitat values considerably. M8W1
A remnant row planting is crowded and likely to lift trail pavement
in the future. Gradual thinning and replacement would afford a more
continuous native palette. M8W2
Good potential for wildlife habitat enhancement. Continuation of project M13EW1. Updated
