In King County, there are over 27,000 professional services jobs, well above the national average for a region of this size. Median earnings are $133,100 annually. In 2021, these industries accounted for $5.1 billion in gross regional product.

Seattle is a national center for the life sciences, and an established leader in immunotherapy. There are over 25,000 life sciences jobs in King County that include life sciences research and the manufacture of products in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and digital health/health IT. In 2021, these industries accounted for $5.3 billion in gross regional product.
