Reminder: Stewart Street Construction, June 3-8

SEATTLE-Some lanes will be closed at the intersection of Stewart Street and Sixth Avenue during the next few days.
Stewart Street will be reduced to two lanes west of Boren Avenue between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. today and tomorrow, June 3 and 4. The street will be reduced to one lane west of Ninth Avenue starting 6 p.m. on Friday, June 5, until 6 a.m. on Monday, June 8.

Sixth Avenue will be reduced to one northbound lane through Stewart between 6 pm. and 10 p.m. today and tomorrow, June 3 and 4. Sixth Avenue will be closed to all northbound traffic at Stewart Street from 6 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. Monday, June 8. Travel will be maintained from northbound Sixth to westbound Stewart.

The lane closures will allow SDOT’s contractor to remove and replace concrete pavement on the north side of Stewart Street between Seventh Avenue and Westlake Avenue.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
