Fremont Bridge Traffic Gate Replacement

SEATTLE-SDOT’s Bridge Maintenance crews plan to close lanes and sidewalks on the Fremont Bridge while they replace traffic gates. In each case, pedestrians and bicycles will be detoured to the sidewalk on the opposite side of the bridge.

The closure schedule:

Wednesday, May 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Northbound right lane and eastern sidewalk

Thursday, May 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Southbound right lane and western sidewalk

Tuesday, June 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Northbound right lane and eastern sidewalk

Wednesday, June 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Southbound right lane and western sidewalk

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
